

Actually, it's interesting how many companies quickly released a VST3 version of their plugins in the last 2 years or so.

NI is on a good way to have most of its portfolio ported to VST3 though. Which means that Cubase 13 could be the first version to not support VST2 anymore (of course, it can also happen earlier, but, I really wouldn't expect it already with the upcoming Cubase 12, which will be relased some time in February). Which could well mean that it's 2 years until Cubase stops supporting VST2 plugins. Actually, they stated that "within the next 24 months, Steinberg’s host applications and plug-ins across macOS and Windows will offer VST 3 compatibility only", see here.
